My current Holy (Space) Grail is to reverse engineer the droid remote protocol (in hopes of making a third party remote, or even just a talk button). I’ve never worked with wireless protocols before, but Spork happened to have an SDR dongle available to play with. Luckily there was also a great tutorial by John Park on Adafruit’s site: https://learn.adafruit.com/getting-started-with-rtl-sdr-and-sdr-sharp/overview
Being a complete noob at this, I realized late in the game that the remote’s 2.4ghz frequency was going to be outside of the range of this SDR, but… TOO LATE TO TURN BACK NOW LETS LISTEN TO SOME FM RADIO AND STILL FEEL COOL.
